This is your invitation to come as you are — in all your colors, all your layers, and all your truth.

Rooted and Rising is a women’s gathering to ground you in your truth and confidence, then lift you into love, joy, and fun. It’s a space to be fully yourself — to feel at home in your body, free in your heart, and inspired to meet the next season as your most authentic self.

We’ll share:
🍫 Heart-opening cacao ceremony to root into truth and presence
💃 Playful, freeing movement to awaken joy and shake off heaviness (with uplifting, soul-stirring music)
🧘‍♀️ Yoga Nidra to deeply rest and restore
🍵 Tea ceremony to savor connection and celebrate sisterhood

Please bring: a yoga mat and water bottle
✨ Cacao and tea provided
✨ No experience needed — just bring yourself

Let’s root in truth and confidence.
Let’s rise in love, joy, and fun — together.

Why Dragonfly?

Dragonflies symbolize transformation, adaptability and self-realization.  They move with elegance and grace, strength and power, but can also sit with patient curiosity.  These magical creatures remind us that change is a path to new beginnings.

We honor the dragonfly spirit by helping you transform your body, mind and spirit through the joy, love and power of movement (and stillness.)  Whether it’s a yoga class or dance lesson with others in our community, or a uniquely curated private session, we are here to guide you.

Our mission is to help raise the vibration of our community through the joyful practices of yoga and dance.

I’m Kerri, teacher and founder of Dragonfly Yoga and Dance. I am a wife of over 20 years, mom to two amazing young men and servant to one oversized, fluffy gray cat.  I’ve been a waiter, “GoGo” dancer, actor, traveler, nature enthusiast and middle school teacher but the one thing that has remained consistent is my love of yoga and dance!  Each of these experiences has brought me to this moment so that I may share my passions and gifts with you in love, laughter and celebration in the hopes that you experience the magic within yourself!

Testimonials

"She recently helped me and my husband over our two-step issues - she knew right away what are issues were and made it so easy for us to fix them. After nearly 10 years of "dancing" together and not being able to get on the same page, Kerri helped us to dance flawlessly with just a one hour session."

-Lyndsay, Two-Step Dancer

"Her expert guidance and tailored exercises have transformed my flexibility and core strength, making a noticeable difference in my swing mechanics and overall performance. The emphasis on breathing techniques and mindfulness in her class has also given me a mental edge on the golf course, allowing me to stay focused, calm, and in control even under pressure. "

-Cameron, YOGA Practitioner and College Athlete

"Kerri's class is the perfect balance of breathing, holding poses for just the right amount of time and gentle flow throughout. Her positive and reassuring manner makes the class delightful yet challenging. She makes sure that we all feel comfortable as we progress and makes helpful suggestions for options if a pose is just too difficult. Kerri is a kind and patient teacher! I would highly recommend her class to anyone interested in participating in a wonderful, well paced yoga class."

Frequently asked questions

Please wear comfortable clothing, bring your yoga mat (if you have one), water is always nice, an open mind and heart, and your beautiful self!!!

Nope, you do not need to be flexible to do yoga. It's about more than just flexibility, it's toning, opening, healing, calming, meditative, and spiritual. And I bet if you keep practicing...you might even become more flexible!

Everybody is welcome! Also, remember, everyone was a beginner once! I know it might be intimidating walking into a yoga class but just let me know that you are a beginner when you get there, and feel free to ask questions. I will give modifications for every level, and will help you have the best experience possible. It is helpful to remember that it is a yoga PRACTICE, not a yoga perfect!
